Long Lasting Make Up Tips

This is NOT what to look like at a party!

Whether you are planning on having a quiet night in on NYE, or dancing all night long, no one wants melting make up. Here are some things that you can do to make sure your make up outlasts your dancing feet.

Use a primer. If you can afford an eye primer its a great investment, otherwise use your normal primer very carefully around your eyes. If your eyes irritate easily, apply a nude eye shadow onto your base, then apply the eyeshadow colours you want.

Pat, not rub eyeshadow on. This will help to make it last as you smoosh it into the skin.

Use a heated eyelash curler or heat yours up with a blast of warm air from your blow dryer.

Use a stain for long lasting colour. They are fantastic on your cheeks and lips. Also it is much easier to have one item in your bag rather than 5, if you need to top up your make up.

If you are wearing lipstick this tip will make it last from dusk to dawn. Exfoliate lips first, then apply a small bit of foundation. Apply lip liner to your lips, then your lipstick. This will give your colour staying power.

If you will be dancing up a storm, or you are like me and are stuck in 39 degree weather, keep your hair up. Your hair will get sweaty and lose its shape quickly, so a half up/down or completely up do will make it last.

I hope everyone has a fantastic NYE tonight. Has anyone got anything good planned?

  3. Staying beautiful all night when you are at a party is tough. One way to look pretty even when you’re partying real hard is putting on long-lasting makeup. The simple makeup tricks in this article work a lot because my wife is also using the same method as yours. Her makeup usually lasts till dawn.
