Coconut Water For Your Skin

Friday, 27 January 2012

Last night I stumbled upon a sentence about the wonders of coconut water on our skin. We all know water is great for our skin. If you are dehydrated, your body struggles to release toxins and therefore it can build up and makes its way out of other organs, like your skin. Coconut water can make your skin look healthy because it boosts blood circulation.

What I didn't realise is that it's also great to apply to the skin. You can use coconut water as a facial "mask." Just apply to your skin and let it rest for 5-15 minutes, then wash off. Otherwise you can use it daily to wash your skin. Coconut water not only cleanses, it also tones your skin. If your skin is oily, you can also add grapefruit or pineapple juice to the coconut water, for added benefits.

It has also been said coconut water is great for blackheads, acne, acne scars and wrinkles.

Has anyone used coconut water to wash their face? Is anyone tempted to try it out?

  1. I've never tried it out. I think I've used creams with coconut oil but not water. Sounds like a good toner.

  2. No, I have never used coconut water before as a face wash. I have only consumed it once before. Sounds interesting, did it say how often you had to use it to get the desired results?

  5. I wouldn't mind trying it out, I was a bit weary of drinking it after hearing some reports that it can upset your tummy!
