Sorry for the bad quality of the picture! |
I had seen this reviewed on YouTube where the poster said it was her favourite foundation of 2011....That's such a big call from a beauty lover!! So when I saw it on special for $10 in Priceline (It is normally $18.95 in Australia), I bought one to try out. I haven't tried CG foundations since I was at school (which was a decade ago!!!), so I was really interested to see how they would feel and look.
One of the first things you notice is that it feels so soft and is easy to rub/buff/pat into the skin. It is so lightweight that you can't feel it on! I would say it is a light to medium finish, so if you have a lot of blemishes, you either need a lot of concealer or go with a different foundation.
Once you have applied it, your skin looks more even toned and has a beautiful glow to it. The first time I applied it I didn't apply a primer, concealer or a powder so I could actually see how well it worked. Because we all know if it looks good without these things then it is amazing!!! I found by the afternoon it turned from glowing to a bit greasy on my T zone, so if you have oily skin don't forget to apply powder anywhere you get shine.
The great thing about this foundation is it is oil free. Normally it has on the packaging it is, but I couldn't see it and was worried it would break me out. But I did a quick Google search to find out. It is also paraben free. The foundation contains cucumber water, jojoba and rosehip extract.
Overall I am really impressed! It reminds me a little bit of my Chanel foundation since it is soft and light but still has enough coverage. I think this will be my day to day foundation from now on since I like it so much.
Have you tried it, or other CG foundations?
XO

It is super light weight. A few minutes after applying it, you forget that it is even on. XO
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any CG foundations but this one sounds good. Was it hard to choose the right shade? x
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't since they don't have many shades. I was just lucky that they had one pale enough for me :) XO
