Last week I was having so many issues with my nails. They were breaking and so incredibly damaged. Every single one of them, even my thumbs, all broke and I was left with horrible short uneven nails. They were almost too short to file :(
I was also needing a base coat, but I decided on getting a 2 in 1 product that could strengthen my nails but also act as a base coat. My pick was Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener. The reason was that on the front packaging it had "Up to 70% thicker in 4 days. Guaranteed!"
It contains calcium and ceramic gel which helps to reinforce weak nails and protects them from breaking and bending.
I really like the consistency of the "polish." It is quite thick and you can automatically see your nails become thicker and feel stronger. It also makes your nails shiny and healthy looking.
You can either apply it as an undercoat or apply it 4 days in a row if your nails are incredibly thin. Because my nails were so bad, I applied it 4 days in a row. I found that it stopped the breaking and my nails have started to grow again.
I am continuing to use this as a base coat to help keep them thick and strong. If you are struggling with weak nails, give this a try!! It can be used for up to 2 years after opening, so it will give you enough time to use the bottle up before it expires.
Have you used this? What do you use when your nails are weak and breaking?
XO
Sounds good! I've been all right so far but I do work outdoors sometimes so I occasionally chip the thumbs...so I'll keep this in mind if I ever need it!
ReplyDeleteOh this sounds like exactly what I need!!! My nails are terribly weak. I can't do without having polish on them cos they look so ugly bare ... which I know just makes it worse!! Will definitely be picking up a bottle of this. I'm assuming it will be available at Priceline?
ReplyDeleteI use OPI's Nail Envy which works just as well - and it's my favourite base coat. Here's to strong nails x
ReplyDeleteMM - your nails always look fantastic! Hopefully you'll never need this ;)
ReplyDeleteSue - Yep it's $18.95 from Priceline. I know earlier in the month when you spent $20+ at priceline you get a free Sally Hansen gift with purchase. I've seen they still have some around, but not at all stores.
Ingrid - I haven't used that before! My local Westfields don't have a DJs, so its a bit hard to get OPI. They sell them at some nail salons, but I'm not 100% sure of their authenticity :/
Great review girly. This is exactly what I need at the moment, my nails keep breaking and I just can't seem to grow them lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
