In the second edition of Friday's Favourites, I'll be sharing with you what has been my favourite things of the week.
What I'm wearing...
I've really been loving Napoleon Perdis Barely Blushing in Rouge. It's a lip and cheek tint, but I've been LOVING it as a lip tint. For a more natural look I leave it bare, but if I want a bit of drama I apply gloss over it. I'll be doing a post in the next day or two, so check back to see swatches.
I love wearing jewellery, but since having my daughter I always forget. But Lovisa just opened in my local Westfield and I just love their range. So my new thing for May is to accessorise more! Lets hope I can remember in the mornings!!
I've heard so much about Essence Cosmetics over the last few months and the other week bought 3 of their products. I've only used one at the moment, an eye shadow, but I'm blow away by the quality of the products. The $3.50 eye shadow is outperforming even the most expensive high end brands!! No creases, long lasting and an amazing price!!
I'm still loving the L'Oreal Youth Code Luminosity Serum and Day Cream. In the last week (my second week of using it), I've seen such good results! This will definitely become apart my main skincare routine.
Things I'm lusting for...
Sleep. And a Caribbean holiday.
Blogs or Blog Posts I've loved so much I've read more than once...
The Made Up Maiden did a gorgeous Nail Of The Day (NOTD) using Essence Blue Addicted. It's just soooooo pretty. Such a gorgeous all year round colour.
Sarah from Breathe Beauty reviewed the CoverGirl Smokey ShadowBlast Eyeshadow. I love her honesty in the review. I've seen these around for a while, but after reading this decided to skip it and stick to what I have already. Thanks Sarah for saving me money! ;)
I saw earlier in the week that The Beauty Department website posted a DIY headband stand. I was thinking about trying it, but didn't know how effective it really would be. But I saw this morning that Ingrid from Glossy Beauty did it!! And she made it look so easy. So now I just need to pick up the stuff to do it!!
On My Mind...
On Thursday I knocked over my Ultaceuticals Eventone Serum :( It crashed and broke the dropper and spilled out the last remaining serum. Honestly I was nearly in tears. Does that make me a beauty addict, or an idiot? To cry over a broken product?? I'm going to go with beauty addict!
Do you have any favourites this week?
XO
Love this post! You are definitely a beauty addict so its okay to cry! If you like essence you should also try Catrice, I think they are pretty much the 'older sister' of essence!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great weekly beauty post! I am currently loving a Dr Lewin's serum, it is so lovely. Good luck on the accessorising front, it is such a fun way of creating new looks!
