Even though I've been sick I still have many favourites this week...
What I'm wearing...
The other week I won a bottle of Rimmel's Wake Me Foundation as apart of their Morning Show/Facebook competition. I've been wearing it for the last 3 days and I REALLY love it. I even think it's slightly better than Bourjois "Healthy Mix Foundation", which is what I've been using for the last month.
Since I've been sick this week, and not getting enough sleep, my skin has really been freaking out. I've been breaking out and have red splotchy skin. so I've been using Natio Pure Mineral Redness Corrector. Unlike my other Natio redness corrector, this one more of a normal concealer rather than the green base one I normally use. Look out for a review on both this and the Wake Me Up Foundation soon!
Whenever I'm sick I stay away from lipstick and lipglosses, due to the fact that I don't want to put my germs into a tube to fester (what a nice visual, right?!). So I've been using my I Love... Mango And Papaya Lip Balm. I apply it with an earbud, so I don't transfer any germs. I really love "I Love..." products. They have a gorgeous Strawberries and Milkshake body butter.
Things I'm lusting for...
Sleep and good health. Being sick sucks, and is so much worse when the whole family is sick.
Blogs or Blog Posts I've loved so much I've read more than once...
Even though this was written late last year, I have only just stumbled over to Christina's blog this week. Her review on the Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric in 2 has me lusting after it badly! It's just the most gorgeous pink colour I have ever seen (until next week!).
Over at Emma Bovary Beauty she reviewed Lancome's Corail In Love Nail Polish. It's absolutely gorgeous and is on my MUST have list! Perfect timing since Lancome have a GWP going on now. Check out their Facebook Page for details.
While I was Keeping Up With Tara, I read her review on the Real Techniques Brushes. I was so interested that I have bought them from SA Hair Nail and Beauty Supplies. Once I have tried them out I'll do a review!
And there have been some amazing blog posts about blogging this week...
Nikki from Styling You blogged about her journey over the last 4 years. It's so insightful reading about successful bloggers. Finding out how they started, how they worked their way up from 30 readers a week to 300,000 and the fails along the way. If you're a blogger, it's a must read!
Another great post about blogging that I just found this week was written by Tina over at Chasing Elixir. Tina is in the unusual position of not only being a blogger but also being a Brand Manager. I found her post so interesting and made me think more about my blog as a brand, rather than being a personal blog.
The Style Council Blog has a fantastic page of "Links We Love". Check it out if you're looking for new blogs to love!
Over at Myteefine (get it?) Tezza had a guest post from Bernadette about getting great photos for your blog. Such great tips and tricks on making your pictures look better and more professional.
On my mind...
Trying to organise our room. Hubby and I are both quite stubborn and we went looking for a quilt cover. Of course there is nothing we both like. After hinting at how much I loved this floral quilt (It was white but had organza flowers sewn on,) he said he was going to buy a Ninja quilt cover for us!!!! He even showed me this fire breathing dragon vs ninja one! Sigh!! Why can't I be married to a guy that lets me decorate the room in a gorgeous white floral quilt with lots of girly accessories.
How has your week been? Any favourites you want to share?
XO
