Friday's Favourites

Another week has passed and it's been a big beauty week.

Illamasqua started their Fight For A Fair Beauty Price. It will be VERY interesting to see how, or if, this changes the way that other brands work. While we know we will never pay what the US does, it would be so great if we weren't ripped off and charged 2 or 3 times the US price.

There has been a bit of a blogging argument going on about if Target are selling authentic Mac. The Beaute Buzz has a great post about it. While Target haven't directly bought from MAC, they do say it's genuine. And while it may be, buying from another source doesn't sit pretty with me. I'm worried about the quality and freshness of the product. As much as I would love to try out MAC, I'd prefer to buy directly from them.

What I've been wearing...

I seem to have about 7 foundations open at the moment, so I've been trying to use up the last of my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. Wearing it again has made me realise why I love it so much. It has amazing coverage, but still is soft and lets your skin shine through. If you live in Australia, check out the Bourjois official website for your $10 off voucher at Priceline. It ends at the end of August, so click here to print it out.

I've been very concious of wearing sunscreen lately, and my lips aren't excluded in the SPF love. I've been wearing the Dermalogica Solar Shield Stick on my lips this week. It has SPF 15, and can also be used on your nose and ears. It's so moisturising, and is the perfect balm to put under lipgloss.

Blogs or blog posts I've loved so much I've read more than once...

Some products featured on blogs make you want it, while others make you wish you could wear it. This one from Marked Beauty Blog makes me wish I could wear it. Sharleena featured Nars "Taj Mahal" blush, which is a bright orangey bronze. While it suits dark complexions, on my pale skin I would look like a had been smearing Cheetos over my face!! Ahhh to be a bronzed goddess!

Chelsea from Confessions Of A Beauty Addict also participated in the Christmas in July Blogging Swap. She got some pretty amazing US goodies. I love seeing what others got, as it's interesting to see what bloggers think other bloggers will love.

I've heard SO much about the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Louise from Sprinkle Of Glitter professes her love for it in this cute video. She's in a towel, so don't watch this on public transport, or you'll look like a perve ;)

Over at A Little Bit Of Lollie, we learn how to wash our hair. Now it may seem like the most simple thing, but so many of us do it wrong. Here's some great tips on how to do it correctly.

On my mind...

SOOOO I went into the city on Thursday to smell and buy the new Marc Jacobs "Dot" Perfume, and I was slightly disappointed. While I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. I walked away from purchasing it, because honestly, if it didn't look so damn cute, I wouldn't have cared for it.

Any favourites you want to share with me?
XO
