Body washes seem to be something I either love, or just forget to use. I normally use an exfoliating glove in the shower and lather up with soap before shaving, so sometimes a body wash feel like an extra step that I can't be bothered with some mornings.
When I do use a body wash it HAS to not only smell amazing, but also moisturise.
Lately I've been loving the Ecostore body wash, because it not only moisturises my skin, but contains no nasty chemicals like SLS, dyes, petrochemicals or perfumes.
Instead to fragrant it, they use essential oils. They also use mineral and plant based ingredients instead of chemicals. The Rose & Cardamon scent is a mild scent, so it won't be too overpowering on your skin, or in the shower.
Another great thing about them is that they don't test on animals!
The 400ml bottle will last ages, because you only need a small amount, even for your whole body. All you do is lather it up in a cloth (or I love an exfoliating glove) and a little bit goes a long way. I like the design of the bottle as well. It's easy to use and is foolproof for when you've got your hands busy with cloths, loofahs or gloves.
Ecostore was born in New Zealand back in 1993. They couldn't find easily accessible house cleansers and body products that didn't contain toxins. It was extremely important to them to have safe products for their family, and so they started creating their own. I love small businesses that start "organically" (from a personal need).
Check out their website here for more information about their story and product range. Next I want to get their baby range for my daughter, since her skin is quite sensitive and easily gets irritated from most baby products.
Does it matter to you what ingredients are in your body and skincare products?

To be honest, as long as something smells nice, I'm happy to try it. Rose and cardamon sounds like an interesting mix :)
ReplyDeleteFor me, as long as it doesn't set my eczema off in an itchy rage I like it. My main issue is with certain scents or heavily scented products.
