I'm in that annoying stage where my skin isn't young but it's not yet old. It's normal to combination and even though I'm 28, I still get the occasional pimple.
Most masks for pimples are made for oily skin, so there's something about the word purifying that makes me feel uneasy. A lot of products that purify, just make my skin feel dry, look red and break out! So any mask that tells me it will purify my skin makes me very cautious.
Luckily the mask that I've been using is fantastic for skin like mine. The Palmer's Purifying Mask is full of nourishing ingredients that don't dry out your skin, regardless of if you spot treat a section or apply it onto your whole face.
It contains aloe and chamomile, which are great for sensitive skin. They both are powerful ingredients for calming red, angry skin. The cocoa butter and shea butter helps to moisturise your skin, without making it oily.
It also contains sweet almond oil, which contains vitamin E. Vitamin E is a great antioxidant that helps with anti aging. It also is great for reducing acne.
Kaolin Clay helps to gently draw out impurities. It's a fantastic ingredient that helps to absorb the oil, without overdrying your skin.
The thing I love about this mask is that it's so gentle. I get no red face after using it, or no tight feeling.
What mask do you love? Do you also get scared of the word "purify?"

I wasn't a fan, but I'm glad you had success with it. It surely did bring out the impurities, into pimples though. I broke out like mad. I'm still on the hunt to find a mask that will help manage the ones I have without creating more.
ReplyDeleteI'm scared of "purify" because, like you, I don't really have oil problems or major pimple problems! This might be just the trick for an occasional break out :)
