I've been using David Babaii styling products for quite a few years. The very first product that I used was the Boho Beach Spray. It has a gorgeous scent and is such a great product that I also ended up buying the Miracle Oil Hair Elixir (which I reviewed here) and the Hair Polish.
I've always meant to try out his shampoo and conditioners but have never gotten around to purchasing them.
Late last year the DB range was reinvented. The packaging was changed and the products were reformulated. I had only tried the old formula, so I was really interested in seeing how different the new formulas were.
For those of you that don't know, David Babaii is a professional hairdresser to the stars. Gorgeous ladies like Angelina Jolie and Kate Hudson trust him enough to look after their hair. His celebrity clients are also his guinea pigs when he's testing out new products.
One of the reasons that I love his products is that they're free of chemical nasties like sulphates, parabens and petrochemicals. He is also a huge animal lover and supporter, so his products are cruelty free and contain no animal products.
Because I'm lame and was home on a Saturday night, I turned on the tv to TVSN and David Babaii was in the TVSN studio and they were having specials on his packs.
There was one pack that really jumped out at me. It was a 10 piece set that had some of the products that I wanted to try, but also the 3 products that I've used and loved.
I bought the "Deluxe Smooth Pack," but originally wanted the Hydrating pack because my hair is dry, damaged and frizzy, but it sold out very quickly.
The "Deluxe Smooth Pack" included...
Supreme Smooth Shampoo 300ml
Supreme Smooth Conditioner 300ml
Intense Repair Potion 150ml
Miracle Elixir Nourishing Oil Spray 80ml
Boho Beach Spray 150ml
Instant Miracle Volumising Powder 15g
Instant Straight Smoothing Balm 100ml
Polished Hair Serum 50ml
Boar Bristle Miracle Brush
Curling Iron
Other than the shampoo and conditioner, I'm really excited to try the "Intense Repair Potion" as it's been on my wishlist for a while. I love hair masks and use them every week and I'm always on the look out for a new mask. The Volumising Powder will also come in handy to make my hair look fuller.
I'm also looking forward to seeing how the brush and curling iron perform. I normally buy inexpensive brushes, so I can't wait to see how this professional brush compares.
I love that the curling iron has a temperature control. My current curler doesn't and it's frustrating as I would like to have it on at a lower temperature to stop heat damage.
The pack cost $149.00 and there was an extra charge of $14.90 for postage (so $163.90 all together). The pack is valued at over $300, and it's all full size products.
I made the purchase on Saturday night and the pack was delivered to my door lunchtime today (on Wednesday). I was really happy with my very first TVSN purchase. They no longer have these packs for sale, but do have smaller packs still available here.
There are still a few more of the DB styling products that I want to get. On my wishlist is the "Whipped Volume Mousse" and "Blow Out Spray."
Also in the box, there's a receipt with details on how to return any products. It's really easy to understand and fill out if you have any issues.
Have you ever tried any David Babaii products? What did you think of them? Have you ever purchased from TVSN?

What a fabulous pack! I adore David Babaii products and they are pretty much the only haircare products that I use now. The volume whipped mousse is fabulous, as is the volume range of shampoo and conditioner. Can't wait to hear what you think of all of those beautiful products.
ReplyDeleteWoah so cheap!! Great buy :D
ReplyDeleteThis looks like great value! I have watched snippets of TVSN now and again, and pay attention when the hair and beauty stuff is on, but haven't bought anything yet!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing reviews of the products that you find to be the best from this pack! :)
Have a great weekend ahead! x
