Cedel "Blow Dry Faster Heat Protector" Review

Thursday, 13 June 2013

Cedel has been around since 1932, so you know the brand is good!

One of their newer products is their "Blow Dry Faster Heat Protector*." I've never been the best with heat protection. One reason was when I was younger, heat protectors weren't the best. They felt heavy on the hair and made my hair feel dry too. They didn't always have the best packaging, and sometimes it would squirt out, and it would take ages to make sure your hair was protected.

Luckily they've been reformulated since I was a teen and are so light, that you can't feel them in your hair anymore.

I adore the packaging on the Cedel heat protectant. It's not a spray, but more a mist. One pump can help help cover a lot of hair and I only need 3-5 sprays to cover all of my hair.

The formula not only protects your hair from heat damage due to silk protein, but also helps to reduce drying time. I love anything that makes drying my hair quicker, as blow drying my hair is one of my all time most hated beauty tasks.

Cedel is a partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and last year donated 35,000 products to NBCF events throughout Australia.

At only $7.99, I love that this is such an affordable heat protectant. Cedel are available in supermarkets, selected chemists and Priceline.

Check out their how to videos on their website here to find out how to do a ballerina bun, get a bouncy blow dry and also how to create a quiff.

Are you guilty of skipping protecting your hair before using heat?

  1. i am very guilty of not using protectant before I use my styling tools, especially when it comes to drying my hair. I've been battling with dry, damaged ends for a while, and now that it's cooler I'm using my hairdryer more. It's not even a very good one and can take up to 10 minutes to dry. I'm definitely going to try this out and see if it helps out.

  2. I'm usually very good with it because I'm too scared of my hair being fried by heat. I almost always let my hair dry naturally and then add heat styling later to either get some curls or get it a little straighter. I have been seeing the Cedel Heat Protector in Priceline and was thinking of picking it up. Thanks for a great review Amy! Xx
