I'm finally getting around to posting my August Favourites.
I've had a few new products that I've been trialling and I've also been using some old faithful items too.
Skincare
Guinot Instant Cleansing Water*
This micellar water is really beautiful. It has a gorgeous scent and works quite easily. I have sensitive eyes, so I normally use a eye make up remover on my eyes instead of this.
Dr LeWinn's 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil*
This is my holy grail cleansing oil. I've been using this since July and I still haven't finished the bottle!! I use it nearly every night and it makes removing my make up so easy and quick.
I've previously reviewed it here.
Pevonia Sensitive Skin Cleanser*
This creamy cleanser is amazing. It's soft and gentle on my skin and is helping to break up my congested skin. It contains chamomile, calendula and safflower oil.
Pevonia Sensitive Skin Lotion*
I usually prefer a mist toner, so I was really surprised that I was preferring to use this over my mist toner. It's really calming on my skin and I like being able to check on the make up pad that there isn't any make up remaining on my skin.
Pevonia Soothing Propolis Concentrate*
This serum not only helps to reduce redness (I naturally have uneven skintone and am prone to pink skin) but it also helps with my congestion. It's a two in one serum and feels really light on my skin. It absorbs really quickly too.
L'Oreal Youth Code Luminosity Extraordinary Serum
This is either the 4th or 5th bottle of this that I've used. It helps to even my skintone and is soft and gentle. My skin always look radiant when I use this.
Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
While everyone knows about argan oil for your hair, argan oil for your face is just as amazing.
It's hydrating, but doesn't feel heavy or oily. This isn't easy to get in Australia, so a good alternative would be the new Swisse Argan oil. I either apply this onto my face instead of a moisturiser or apply a drop or two to my moisturiser.
Lancome UV Expert BB Complete*
This has been my sunscreen and primer all month. It works so easily under make up, but also has a slight tint so I can wear it alone. I love that it's easy to apply and it doesn't leave my skin greasy like some sunscreens can.
I've previously reviewed it here.

Haircare
bhave Rescue Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner*
I have ombre hair, and the lengths are quite damaged. I was recently sent these and have noticed a difference in not only the health of my hair, but also the strength.
I use the shampoo, then a mask and then follow up with the conditioner on my ends. Sometimes I use the shampoo twice, and othertimes I use it once and then I use a shampoo for toning my hair.
I love that I can use these, then blow dry my hair and it's so soft, silky and shiny.
bhave Deep Intense Conditioning Masque*
Along with the Rescue Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, I've been using this intensive mask.
One of the best things about this mask is that it works quite quickly. In 5-7 minutes, my hair is left hydrated, feels stronger and shines.
bhave Riot Control Oil*
I'm a huge fan of hair oils and have been rotating 2 oils lately. The first one is from bhave. It contains argan oil and vitamin E.
I either apply this to damp hair and let it dry, or I apply a drop or two onto blowdried hair. It helps to add moisture, shine and defrizzes my hair.
Royal Moroccan Serum Treatment*
This is the other hair oil that I use.
This argan oil is the perfect every day hair oil. It's not too heavy and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.
It's also fantastic as a treatment oil. I apply this the night before I wash my hair. I focus on the ends. I apply quite a lot, so it looks a bit greasy and yucky, but because I'm about to go to sleep it doesn't matter. Since using this as an overnight treatment, I've noticed a huge difference to the health of my hair.
Make Up
Mirenesse Magic Touch Foundation
I love this foundation as my everyday look. It helps to cover my blemishes and even my skintone, but it's not heavy or cakey.
I've used this on and off for the last 9 months and have been really surprised at how long it's lasted for. Every time I think I've nearly finished it, there still is more!!
It also has a gorgeous botanical scent that I love.
ELES Mineral Blush in "Coral Sun"*
I can't put this blush down!! It's such an amazing blush that looks good on any skintone. On my pale skin it's brings up more coral tones, while on darker tones it seems pinker.
It's highly pigmented and even though I've been using this all through winter, I haven't even made a dent in it.
I've previously reviewed this here.
Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation
I adore this foundation. It's highend, and gives my skin a gorgeous finish. I prefer to use this more when I'm going out and want to impress, rather than wearing it to go to the post office or get groceries.
Because it's a matte formula, I can skip the powder. I love that this isn't too heavy or too light. It helps to cover my imperfections, but doesn't look like a mask.
Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Waterproof Powder
I normally use the Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder but it smashed into little pieces, so I've been using this a lot.
It's fantastic for giving a little bit more coverage, especially if I'm wearing a BB cream. It also helps my make up last all day and even though I've been using it a lot, it doesn't look like it in the pan.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Stripes in "Nude"
I purchased this a while ago, but haven't used it often until this month.
I love that this palette is small and is perfect for on the go. It's a neutral palette and it's so wearable. There are some colours that are on the cooler side and others that are on the warmer side, so it's perfect for any skintone.
Body
Pure Fiji Coconut Hydrating Body Lotion*
Other than the scent being AMAZING, this body lotion is the perfect amount of hydration without being oily or greasy.
I prefer to use this at night, as I like to use an unscented body lotion in the morning so it doesn't impact on my perfume.
I've previously reviewed this here.
Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner*
I adore this in shower body lotion. I apply it after I've shaved and it helps to hydrate my skin. I sometimes still do apply a moisturiser after using this, but it's not because I need more moisturiser, but purely out of habit. I've nearly finished this and will be picking up the blue bottle next time I go to the shops.

There are so many goodies I love as well! I'd love to see a full review on that Chanel foundation, I've been thinking of buying it for a while :)

Haha, love the 'few' products you picked out! I've seen the Royal Moroccan brand pop up quite a bit recently so it must be good! The Physicians Formula looks so pretty and I love all the nude shades. I recently picked up a bottle of the Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner on the basis of me being able to become more lazy and cut out the step of moisturising separately!
ReplyDeleteSo many great products! The Dr Lewinns Cleansing Oil sounds great xx

Sounds like you really like Pevonia. I'll check them out. I've heard some great things about Josie Maran products. Where do you get yours from?
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I like the sound of the BHave products! I really must get around to trying some!
ReplyDeleteI also have the song from The Sound of Music stuck in my head now! :P
