Max Factor "The Wild Collection" Review

Ever since Max Factor released their Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick (which I've reviewed here), I've really been interested in the brand.

Recently they released The Wild Collection. What I adore about this collection is that even though the promotional pictures are bright and full of colour, there are so many great wearable colours in the range.

I'm someone that's overwhelmed by bright colours, but this range makes it easy to play with colour in a subtle way while you work your way up to bright bold colours!

There are 3 new products in "The Wild Collection."

Wild Mega Volume Mascara*

If you're like me, applying false lashes is not only a pain but also difficult. If you want a false lash look, without having wonky false lashes, then this is the mascara that you need!

It comes with a slightly unusual brush. Its curvaceous and while it may look difficult to use, it's surprisingly easy.

I have small eyes and big mascara wands are usually a recipe for disaster! I end up with more mascara on my eyelids than on my eyelashes!!!

The trick with this is to not wiggle the mascara brush like you would normally. Instead use the brush in an upwards stoke. The curves of the brush help to quickly and easily coat all of your eyelashes. You can also use the wand horizontally to really focus on the edges of your eyelashes.

I normally find that my inner eyelashes get missed with most mascara wands, but with this it catches them all! It gives your lashes 3 times the volume, which for me makes such a difference.

This mascara only comes in black. It retails for $17.95.

Wild Shadow Pencil

Eyeshadow pencils are the new big thing. These have a 2 in one formula, so it can be used as a classic eyeshadow or as a liner too.

The pencils are soft so it's really easy to apply straight onto your delicate eye area. You can also use a brush to get product straight from the pencil.

I love that you can use multiple shadows together to create a smokey eye.

I've used a brush and have also applied it with my fingers. I prefer to use a brush, as I find that it's easier to blend (especially when I do a smokey eye) and also I have more control when I use a brush.

I like to work one eye at a time, as it sets quite quickly.

I've used these alone and also as a base for powder eyeshadow. It works well both ways.

Caramel Rage*

Untamed Pink

Fierce Lime*

It looks yellow, but has green flakes. Once you apply it, it becomes a gorgeous vivid green.

Here it was applied to my skin directly from the pencil.

Then I used a brush to blend it out.

Applied heavily directly from the pencil for maximum colour.

Here's Fierce Lime applied to my eye and blended with a brush. It goes to show how subtle these bright colour can be. Very wearable, even if you're scared of colour!

There are 8 shades available and these retail for $12.95.

Wild Shadow Pot

For me, these are the hero product from the new range. There's 10 beautiful colours, ranging from bright green and blue to beautiful browns and pink. Here are 5 of the colours available.

These can be applied both wet and dry. The bright colours are magnified when applied wet. In the swatches below, the left swatch is dry, while the right swatch was applied wet.

Auburn Envy

Savage Rose*

Burnt Bark*

 Sapphire Rage*

 Untamed Green*

They're great quality and last all day, even without a primer. Honestly, words can't sum up how much I love them.

These retail for $12.95

Priceline currently have these on special. Get any 2 Wild Collection products for $20!!!

I'll be picking up the rest of the range as I LOVE the products so much!!
