Jurlique "Calendula Redness Rescue" Range Review + GWP

Thursday, 13 February 2014

Last month Jurlique released a great new range for those with sensitive skin. There are 3 new products in the range, which helps to calm red and angry skin.

I've been using them for the last 3 weeks and have really loved using them in my morning and night routine.

There's no cleanser in the range, so I was using the Nude By Nature "Nude Daily Cleanser." Otherwise you could also use this range with the Jurlique "Soothing Foaming Cleanser."

After cleansing my face, I then use the Calendula Redness Rescue Calming Mist.* I keep mine in the fridge for an immediate cooling effect. It feels incredibly soothing and refreshing.

I like to use this both in the morning and night. It's alcohol free, so it isn't drying on the skin.

It retails for $55.00 for 100ml. It's not the best option if you're on a budget but it's worth the price tag for a decadent feel. A good alternative is the Sukin "Hydrating Toner Mist" which is under $10.

Next I use the Restorative Treatment Serum.* A serum is an essential step in my morning and night routine. If there's any product that I'll splurge on it has to be a serum. They're highly concentrated and will do more for your skin that any other product.

This serum not only provides your skin a barrier against environmental disruptions but also helps to soothe your skin.

It contains a organic blend of Calendula, Chamomile, Echinacea, Self Heal, Spilanthes, Marshmallow extracts as well as Prickly Pear Extract. These ingredients help protect your skin from flare ups and calm the redness in your skin.

I've been mixing 1-2 pumps of this with my Paula's Choice "RESIST C15 Super Booster" to both calm my skin and help even out my skintone so there's less redness.

It retails for $85.00 for 30ml.

My favourite product has to be the Soothing Moisturising Cream*. It's a gorgeous hydrating and soothing moisturiser. I've been using it on my face but it would be a beautiful moisturiser to use on your body if you were sunburnt.

It feels slightly thick, but sinks into the skin easily and quickly. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

It contains Evening Primrose, Macadamia, Rose Hip and Avocado Oil to help hydrate and comfort delicate skin. These oils are also high in essential fatty acids.

This comes in 2 sizes. The 40ml tube retails for $50 and the 100ml tube (pictured) is $85.00.

I adore the packaging. The products look beautiful, as well as the outer packaging. There's been a lot of effort into not only the ingredients and formula but also the packaging.

They also have a travel set available. It contains the...

Soothing Foaming Cleanser (30mL)
Calendula Redness Rescue Calming Mist (15mL)
Calendula Redness Rescue Restorative Treatment Serum (15mL)
Calendula Redness Rescue Soothing Moisturising Cream (40mL)

It retails for $58.99.

If you purchase online (here), use the code SECRET to also get a Jurlique tote bag and 40ml Daily Exfoliating Cream when you spend $50 or more.

Otherwise David Jones has a great special when you purchase two or more Jurlique facial skin products. You can pick between 2 packs that contain 3 full size products. See here for details.

Have you used Jurlique before?

  1. Thanks so much for the review Amy. They sound really good. Redness isn't an issue for me (touch wood!) but I'll know what range and review to point others to. :)

    1. I'm so glad that you found it helpful. It can be hard to advise others on skincare products when you have very different skin to them :)
