Olay Regenerist "Complexion Corrector (CC) Cream" Review

I'm new to the CC cream craze and have only used the Max Factor version. For many people (including myself), it's easy to assume that this is just a renamed tinted moisturiser.

I was given the opportunity to trial the Olay Regenerist CC cream and I couldn't wait to see how different it was to my MF one.

Most notably, the packaging is much more luxe and cooler than the MF one (which you can see here). I love the fact that I can see how much is left in the bottle. It's also a plastic bottle, so it's perfect for clumsy beauties like me.

I love that it has a pump, which makes it much easier to dispense the right amount, and not be left with wasted CC cream.

The Olay version is also housed in cardboard packaging. If I was looking at purchasing this instore and hadn't heard about it before, it would let me know everything that I need to know. It lets me know what it does, its benefits and how to use it.

They've labelled this as being a moisturiser + serum + sheer moisturiser, and I completely agree. It contains an anti-aging serum to help reduce lines and fine wrinkles.

It's a light cover, so for some people (like myself) it's important to still use concealer to help hide marks, scars or redness.

It contains SPF 15, but I always use a sunscreen underneath to protect my skin.
Because it contains a moisturiser, I'd skip that when I used this.

Because of the ingredients, you not only see instant results, but when you use this over the weeks and months, you'll notice an improved skintone and texture.

Sadly even though this is "Light," it was still too dark for me. It's such a shame as the consistency and feeling of this is beautiful. If they had an extra light version, I'd be first in line to pick it up!

At $49.99 for 50ml it's on the mid to pricey side. Chemist Warehouse and Priceline often have Olay on sale, so you can pick it up for less. It's available in "light" and "medium."

If you have normal to dry skin and are worried about aging, then this is the CC cream for you!

Here's a great video from Olay, where they show you that less is more when it comes to make up.

Are you guilty of apply too much make up? Do you feel naked without foundation?
Amy, XO

    1. I tried to take a photo of it swatched on my arm, but sadly my camera just couldn't focus on it.
