Mother's Day Gift Ideas: Napoleon Perdis Cotton Butter Lip Balm Trio (Reviewed)

Thursday, 8 May 2014

This year for Mother's Day, Napoleon Perdis have released a trio of coloured lip crayons.

It contains 3 neutral colours that are perfect for all skin tones and ages.

I'm a big fan of the outer packaging. It lets your mum know everything that she needs to know about using them, what's in them and also what colours are in the pack.

They're also packaged safely. So even if you are sending it to her, they'll arrive safely.

They're in the classic lip crayon form. At the bottom of the crayon is where you wind it up. There's no sharpening required!!

Because they all look the same with the lid on, they have the bottom of the crayon with a colour and the name of the colour.

Looking at the above photo, there isn't a huge difference in the colours.

Until you apply them.....

(L-R) Doreen, Kris, Sigrid

These glide on effortlessly and easily, even when you're on the run and without a mirror.

The have a beautifully glossy effect to them, with no glitter in sight!

They condition the lips but still provide sheer to medium colour, as you can build them up. It contains Cotton Seed Oil, Caster Seed Oil and Vitamin E to hydrate and give continuous moisture.

The colours are subtle, but effortlessly beautiful (just like mum!!). There's an apricot, dusky pink and mocha colour. You can mix them together, apply them before or after lipstick or even mix them with a Napoleon Colour Disk Eyeshadow.

I didn't try mixing them with my own NP eyeshadows (as they are all browns and wouldn't look good on me) but I did mix it with a baby pink blush and it looked gorgeous. It took some of the gloss away, but still felt moisturising.

These are the perfect lipstick wardrobe for any mum!!

The pack retails for $55, and is available from David Jones, Myer, selected pharmacies and NP Concept Stores.

Which colour is your favourite? I adore "Kris" (the dusky pink) as it is similar to my natural lip colour.
Amy, XO

  2. I dont think we have this brand here in Canada, but I just got a primer by this brand to try! I keep seeing all these great items by the brand but living outside the United States and being a beauty addict is frustrating (I am sure you feel the same way!).

I might have to try a few things and ship them to the usa!
