These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things... April 2013

Thursday, 1 May 2014

April was a bit of an up and down month for me. I've been quite sick this year and when I was looking at my beauty loot I didn't think that I would have many favourites since I've been very simple with my hair, skin and make up.

But I was surprised that I actually had quite a lot of favourites and reached for products in April.

Hair And Body

bHave Rescue Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner*

This are my holy grail shampoo and conditioner. You not only get immediate results, but the longer that you use this the better the results you see.

This is my second set and I honestly can't imagine not having a bottle of these in my shower. They really have been life changers for my hair.

I've previously reviewed this duo here. I also reviewed the Mother's Day pack here, which includes an amazing hair brush that I'm obsessed with.

Royal Moroccan Nourishing Mask Treatment For Thin & Fine Hair*

Having dry and damaged hair that's fine is quite difficult as it's easy to weigh my hair down trying to put moisture back into it.

Luckily this mask is formulated for fine and thin fair. I find my hair feels hydrated enough, but not weighed down or oily. I use this once a week.

Dirty Works Coconut Body Butter

I purchased this last month from Coles and have already bought a back up of it. It feels so lovely on your skin. Even though it's a body butter, it doesn't feel heavy or oily on your skin.

You only need a little bit, so it does last quite a while. And best of all it's under $10!

Skincare

Boot's Optiva Aqua-Capture Serum* and Comforting Day Cream*

Because I was trialling a couple of new skincare products in March and April (including these 2 products), I've been very simple with my skincare. Wellllllllllll.... simple for me. Cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise, SPF.

These 2 products are an affordable option for someone that wants radiant skin. And even better, they're currently half price at Amcal (both instore and online).

I love that both of these feel light on my skin, but are still hydrating.

I've previously reviewed them here

Make Up

Max Factor Colour Correcting CC Cream

I was obsessed with this earlier in the year and have been using it again in April.

I love the finish it gives me. It has enough coverage to help minimise redness, but is still natural and feels weightless. I'll be using this all throughout winter.

ELES Mineral Blush in "Mixed Berry"*

I've mentioned this so many times on my blog, but that's because it's amazing!

ELES do the best blushes around and this is a gorgeous matte colour. It looks a bit scary in the pan, but is surprisingly wearable, even for my pale skin.

I've previously reviewed it here

Hourglass No 7 Finishing Brush

This is heaven!!

Over the last few weeks, I've fallen in love with Hourglass brushes. They're so soft, look amazing and feel incredible.

This came with a very heafty pricetag ($92..... OUCH) but honestly, it's worth every penny. It's so soft and I love how glamorous it looks.

It works amazingly. I've used it both as a powder brush to apply both pressed powder and mineral foundation, as well as using it with liquid foundation.

It's a highend cruelty free option for those that don't want to use animal hair.

Natio Complexion Perfecting Sponge

Going from one extreme to the next... this is only $5.95!!! I loved it so much that I went and bought a second one. And will probably end up buying one or two more!!

It's an affordable sponge that works so well. I've used it both with my Max Factor CC cream, as well as foundations.

I've previously reviewed it here

Australis Tint My Brows

Here's another great product that I've mentioned multiple times.

I love how easy it is to use. It takes less than 5 seconds to tint my brows. It's also really affordable and easily available.

Face Of Australia Glamazon Palette in "Leopardess"

I adore this palette. It has the most amazing highlighter. I haven't used the contour a lot, but use the highlighter a few times a week.

It's under $10 and should be on everyones wishlist!

I've previously reviewed it here.

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in "Standout"

I adore this matte red. I wore it to work one Friday and had so many comments on it! I only touched up after lunch and it lasted all day.

I'm going to go to Chemist Warehouse and pick up more colours as they have them on sale for $10 currently.

Nivea Lip Butter in "Raspberry Rose"
I really like the original Lip Butters and picked up this new flavour recently.

I love that they're affordable and smell beautiful. I just hate the packaging as I'm not a fan of putting my fingers into the pot.

Dr LeWinn's Skin Perfect Anti Aging Primer

This is such a great primer for anyone that hates the feeling of silicone primers.

I love that it also has anti-aging ingredients in it so I don't need to feel as bad about skipping masks or night creams.

I've previously reviewed it here.

Trish McEvoy Beauty Emergency Card

I purchased this from Kiss And Makeup NY 2 years ago and still love this small palette.

It's quite neutral. It has a mixture of matte and shimmers.

The quality of the eyeshadows are great too. I keep meaning to order some of her products, but haven't purchased from K&M since.

SAX Eye Delights Eyeshadow Palette

Here's another affordable product. This eyeshadow palette is quite neutral, but still has a mix of colours.

The quality is great and it's under $20.

What's been your most loved products for April?
