My Favourite Multi-purpose Beauty Products

There's nothing better than a beauty product that's a work horse. One that does many things and is worth its weight in gold.

Here are some of my favourite multi-purpose products.

Skin, Hair & Body

Trilogy Everything Balm*

This balm has a plant based formula that you can use as a lip balm, heel balm, hand cream, body moisturiser, massage oil, face cream and nappy balm.

It contains gorgeous ingredients like pawpaw, coconut oil, manuka honey, jojoba, avocado, rosehip and olive oil.

It comes in a gorgeous tin, so it's perfect for keeping safe in your handbag, without having to worry about it spilling.

I've also heard great things about the Dr LeWinn's Multi-Moisture Balm and Antipodes Saviour Skin Balm, but haven't tried either.

Wella SP Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir*

This is a wonderful hair oil that I've been hooked on for the last 3 months.

I use it in a few different ways.

*Apply 4-6 drops into the ends of my hair before I wash my hair (or even the night before)
* Add a couple of drops into my hair mask or conditioner to give added moisture
*Apply to damp hair before styling/blow drying my hair
*Apply to dry hair to give my hair shine and moisture

You can use most hair oils like this, but just keep in mind if your hair oil contains silicone it can make your hair (especially if it's fine) feel and look oily quickly.

Rosehip/Jojoba/Argan/Macadamia Oil

A few years ago, oils were seen as the enemy. We were told to look for oil free formulas, especially if you had oily/combination skin. But in the last 3 or 4 years, oils have become big business.

I adore using plant based oils and find that they can be used in many ways. You can use them on your hair, to cleanse your face, as a 10-20 minute hydrating face mask and as a face and body moisturiser.

I liked using rosehip oil for stretchmarks throughout my pregnancy.

Rosehip, jojoba, argan, macadamia, olive, avocado, sweet almond and tamanu oil are my favourite oils.

Here are some of my favourites...

Kosmea Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil

The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Ultimate Jojoba Youth Potion
Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
Natio Ageless Organic Rosehip Oil
La Mav Sweet Almond Oil* and Tamanu Oil*

Other brands that do amazing oils are Antipodes, A'kin, ModelCo, Nude By Nature, Go-To Skincare and People For Plants.

Make Up

Napoleon Perdis Light Switch Luminizer Palette*

This palette contains 5 cream based colours to help you highlight, contour and blush. There's two warmer colours (a gold and a bronze), two cooler colours (a champagne and pale pink) as well as a rosey blush.

Creams are great for those that want a subtle look or those that have dry skin. These sink into the skin easily and quickly. I just set them with a light dusting of translucent powder.

The palette also comes with a mirror for touch ups.

If you love the NP Ultimate Contour Palette, then you'll love this!

Natio Mineral Face Contour Palette*

If creams aren't your thing, then this cute round palette is what you need.

It contains a highlighter, contour and blush.

There's only the one shade available, but I'd love to see 1-2 more of these with cooler and warmer tones. Get in quick as this is from their limited edition "Precious Petals" collection.

Napoleon Perdis Nude U - Eyes, Cheeks and Brows Palette*

This compact and lightweight palette has 12 different colours to create
a smokey eye, contour a slimmer face, highlight, define your brows and you can even use it on your lips.

It's a mostly matte palette, so you won't have to worry about shimmer or glitter when using it to contour your face. It ranges from light to dark nude shades, with a gorgeous purple which works well on the eyes and adds colour to your lips when mixed with a lip balm or lipstick.

What I love about this palette is that it has a range of colours that will suit both light and dark complexions. Because of the shade range, you'll be able to use this to go from day to night, so it''s a great palette to have in your handbag. It also includes a mirror.

If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll know I've been obsessed with this palette.

Brushes

Rae Morris Radiance Brush 27 (Original)

This multi-tasking brush can surprisingly do a lot. It's quite a large brush but can still be used for smaller areas when you angle it on its side.

It's a great foundation brush as you can apply your foundation quickly and efficiently. It also works as a great body brush due to its size.

I love to use this to fix any harsh lines. I buff it into the skin to remove obviously contour or blush lines.

This is the original version of the Radiance brush and is still available from the Rae Morris website for $85.00. She did redesign it and the new version is available for $110.00.

Becca The One Perfecting Brush

This is similar to the Rae brush. It's quite large but with a twist of your hand, you can use this to apply foundation, powder, contour, highlight, blush and even as a blending brush on your eyes.

I find the biggest difference between the 2 brushes is the softness. My Rae brush is softer and the hairs are "fluffier."

And those are some of my favourite multi-tasking products.

Do you use many multi-taskers?
