Beauty Bites #4: My Weekly Beauty Wrap Up

This week I've been using some new skincare products and have been trying to use up some of my nearly finished make up.

Here's what I've been using and loving...

My most worn beauty products...

As you might have noticed, I'm having a love affair with Coast To Coast. I mentioned them in my April favourites here and again will be mentioning 2 other products that I've fallen in love with. Normally I don't use a micellar water as I prefer a cleansing oil/balm but I've been a bit lazy and have been using the Coast To Coast Skin Illuminating Cleansing Water* to remove my make up. I really love the packaging as you put a cleansing pad onto the top of the dispenser and push down. They have 2 other micellar cleansers (one for dry skin and one for oily skin) and I want to get the dry skin version next.

When I've been motivated, I've been using the Coast To Coast Skin Illuminating Foaming Cleanser.* This is really amazing. Even though it's a gel cleanser, it doesn't strip my skin or make it feel dry or tight. It's up there in my top cleanser (behind my Antipodes Juliet Brightening Gel Cleanser). If you go into David Jones (or for you lucky Sydney siders, Sephora) then check out the brand.

I've always been terrible at using masks, but this year I've been really trying to use them at least once a week. This week I started to use the new Natio Apricot & Orange 10 Minute Brightening Mask.* It felt really lovely on my skin and I'm looking forward to using it again tonight.

You might have noticed a trend... skin brightening, skin illuminating... and next up is the Obagi Professional C Serum*, which is a vitamin C serum. It's 10% vitamin C which is good for those that are starting out with a "C" serum.

I finally got around to buying my favourite deodorant, the MooGoo Fresh Cream Deodorant. I prefer this to your classic deodorant, especially since I'm breast feeding and worry about chemicals so close to where she feeds.

I keep forgetting to mention my Rae Morris Lip Brush. I bought it thinking that I wouldn't use it often but have been reaching for it multiple times a day. While it's great to use to apply lipstick, I ADORE using it to apply lip balm that's in pots, like my Glamourflage Bijou Bec Lip Balm.* This way I can use it without having to worry about transferring germs. I now wish I had more than one of these brushes.

I completely forgot to take a photo, but I've been loving using my Alpha H Liquid Gold. I used to use it about 2-3 years ago and after reusing it, I'm not sure why I ever stopped!

Disappointing products...

While everyone seems to rave about the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (as well as number 1 and 3) I still don't get the hype. I've been using it lots this week as I like to use "Booty Call"to help make my eyes look awake after a sleepless night, but I feel as though if the palette went missing, that I wouldn't repurchase it. It's a nice palette, but it's not holy grail worthy for me (after saying that, do I lose my beauty addict membership??).

Best Sale...

Chemist Warehouse has 50% off Revlon, Maybelline, Rimmel and Sally Hansen!!! Get in quick as stock goes so quickly.

What I'm lusting after...

A Z Palette! I need to declutter my eyeshadows.

My favourite youTuber or blogger...

I found this really interesting video on youtubers and how murky it gets when it comes to honesty, sponsored videos and affiliate links. While I'm fine with sponsored post/videos, I HATE when a youtuber or blogger doesn't disclose. Same goes for affiliate links.

On my mind...

If I buy a Z palette, how hard will it be to depot my eyeshadows!

Have you ever depotted a eyeshadow? Did you find it easy?
Amy, XO
