I'm trying to declutter my beauty stash (while also adding to it thanks to some great sales recently), so I've been using a LOT of products recently, and many of those have become my favourites again.
Here's what I've been loving in May...
Skincare
The main focus on my skincare lately has been to finish up my half used products while also dealing with the pesky hyperpigmentation left from my pregnancy. I've been using a lot of brightening products. The Obagi Professional-C Serum* is a gorgeous 10% strength vitamin c serum. I love the texture of this. It's a beautiful vitamin C serum for anyone that's really wanting to get a more even toned skintone. If you're wanting to try a vitamin C serum, start with a lower strength first before moving onto the 15 or 20% strength version. I've been doubling up on my serums and apply this first as it's a lightweight oil formula.
I then apply another creamier serum. I've been using the La Mav Daily Vitamin-C Brightening Serum.* Even though it's a cream, it's lightweight and works well with the Obagi serum.
I've also been loving the matching La Mav Rumex Advanced Lightening Day Creme.* I'm obsessed with with. It's a lightweight moisturiser that doesn't make my skin feel heavy, especially since it sits on top of 2 serums. I think I may just cry when I finish this moisturiser. When I purchase one I might also get a cleanser from them as I just realised that my cleanser has salicylic acid in it, and it's not breast feeding friendly. I'm planning on breast feeding for at least another 3 months (if not longer), so I need to find another cleanser asap.
I've been using the Coast To Coast Skin Whitening Facial Polish to get red of any dry patches. I like to use this 2-3 times a week. I've previously reviewed it here. I've also been using the Alpha H Liquid Gold to help target my uneven skintone and to help reveal brighter skin.
And lastly to combat the cold, I've been obsessed with the Grown Alchemist Watermelon & Vanilla Lip Balm. This lipbalm is incredible. It smells like watermelon (yummmmm) and is so conditioning. I really hope that Priceline has this as I would buy 3 or 4 of them at the next 40% off skincare sale. Click here to read more about it and the other lip balms that I love.
Haircare
I used to use Charles Worthington products when I was in high school, so I'm so excited that Priceline are selling them again. I've been loving the Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm* to help give my hair extra hydration.
Like the name suggests, it's a balm, so it's very different to other hair masks that I've used. It's more of a pre-wash mask. You apply it to your hair 20 minutes before you wash it. I find this is much easier than applying a hair mask for 20 minutes after you've shampooed.
I'm going to be reviewing this later this week, so keep an eye out.
Make Up
As I'm going through my make up (I'm trying to finish off half used products), I came across my Innoxa Skin Perfecting 5 in 1 BB Creme Foundation. This is a great "off duty" lightweight foundation. It's a heavier coverage than a tinted moisturiser, but doesn't cover uneven skintone like a proper foundation.
Another product that I found was the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in "Tender Caramel" which is amazing. It's a creamy loose powder formula that looks so much more interesting than you'd think. I can apply only this and it looks like I've spent a lot more time doing my eyes than I have. The formula is a bit messy since it's loose, but it's worth the extra hassle.
When I was going through my products for the Addicted To Blush tag here, I came across my ELES Mineral Blush Compact in "Coral Sun" and have been wearing it non stop since. It gives me a lovely glow, which is very much needed now that it's so cold in Adelaide.
Body
With the colder weather I've switched to a cleansing body oil. The Molton Brown Renew Ambrusca Cleansing Shower Oil* hydrates my skin without making it feel oily. The oil changes into a foamy lather onto your skin, so that you're not left sticky.
Even though their website has that the fragrance is from the floral family, I find it really unisex and leaning a bit on the masculine side. Just from smelling it I wouldn't even categorise it as floral.
And those have been my May favourites. Follow me on instagram and on Facebook as I post a lot of pictures of products that I'm trying as well as a tip of the day.

Lovely favourites! Liquid Gold has been a skin saviour for me lately as well, and I'd love to try the Obagi serum! Can't wait to get my hands on some Charles Worthington bits as well! I've heard great things :)

You HAVE to pick up the balm!! It leaves my hair sooooo soft.
DeleteI'm also trying to use up some of my stash. It can be so easy to let your collection get away from you until it becomes a bit overwhelming! Good luck getting through some of your products!

Overwhelming is the right word!!! I feel so happy when I finish something. It sounds so weird to be a beauty blogger and want to minimise your stash. Good luck with yours!!! :)
