Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale: My Suggestions #3

Tuesday, 5 April 2016

It's that time of the year again when Priceline has their 40% off make up sale! Here's my first post of recommendations that I posted a year ago. I still use and love all of the products. In November I posted my second post of recommendations, many of the products I'm still using and loving.

But in the last 6 months, there's been some amazing new releases that I'd suggest picking up at the sale on Wednesday 6th and Thursday the 7th of April.

Complexion

There's been 2 new releases that I've loved recently. Firstly the Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation is a light to medium coverage foundation that really gives your skin a gorgeous glow. I prefer applying it with a sponge as it gives me the best results. If you like Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, then you'll love this! They've also released a primer with the Luminous foundation, the Outlast All-Day Primer, which is on my list of products to pick up.

The other foundation that I like is the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. It's an easy to use liquid compact foundation that's great when you're on the go. It's light to medium coverage. I prefer to use a sponge (a beauty blender or RT sponge) rather than use the sponge provided. If you can find your shade, then it's a fantastic product. Sadly the lightest shade is too dark for me.

Eyes

I've really been adoring using the L'Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude in "Rose" for my every day palette. It has a great mix of nudes and pinks. What i love is that it has both mattes and shimmers, so it's very versatile. The pigmentation is a bit meh alone so I prefer to apply a cream shadow first. I really love the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil* underneath the L'Oreal eye shadow.

I mentioned the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in my last favourites post here and at $3.06 on sale, it's worth picking up. It tints my brows and gives them the illusion of being fuller and thicker. It's an amazing brow gel, especially when you're in a rush in the morning.

Cheeks

One product that I've only had for a week but am already obsessed with is the new Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette. It contains a powder highlighter, contour and blush. I love that the highlighter isn't glittery and gives me a glow without being overpowering. It reminds me of the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight. The blush is beautiful as it just makes me look like I'm blushing. It's very pigmented so I only apply a small amount and it looks very much like I have healthy skin.

The new Models Prefer Radiance Collection Cream Palette is incredible!!! It contains 3 colours to contour and highlight with. I don't use the contour colour but I adore the pearl and pink highlighter. It sinks into my skin easily and looks radiant and glowy. There's also a powder version. I didn't pick that up because when I swatched it instore it seemed a bit glittery. You can see swatches of it here

If you prefer matte contour kits, then check out the Natio Contour Palette.* It comes in one shade and it's sold with a double ended brush. The pack is fantastic value and would be great for anyone that's new to contouring. The only downside is the fact that it doesn't come in other shades. This would suit  light to medium skintones. It's a little bit more of a dryer formula, so it would suit normal to oily skin.

Lips

I really adore the Covergirl Outlast Longwear Lipsticks* as they feel so incredibly moisturising. While they don't stay put when you're eating, they're worth the after lunch touch up because they're so moisturising. I have 2 colours, but I do want to get some of the pinks to add to my collection.

Max Factor also has a newish lipstick range called Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipstick (not pictured). I haven't tried them, but they're on my wishlist.

The Rimmel The One Lipsticks* are a great range of affordable lipsticks that pack a punch of colour. The range has some great colours and is perfect for anyone that loves a bold lipstick. They're really hydrating too!

I've been reaching for my Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lip Balm as I rush out the door for the school drop off.* I LOVE that they're a crayon so they're easy to use, they're moisturising and they have a lot of pigment. I tend to reach for this when I want a lipstick look but with the effort of a lip balm (i.e applied without a mirror in 3 seconds). I have 2 red ones, but wouldn't mind adding a pink or coral to my collection.

Another product that I love reaching for when I want colour without commitment is the Innoxa Antioxidant Lip Glaze. It's a great, hydrating lip gloss that's perfect for busy mornings.

What would you suggest I pick up tomorrow?

  1. I did my shop early this morning! I picked up the Loreal cushion foundation because so many people have been raving about it! I'm super excited to try it :) I'm intrigued by the Rimmel contour/blush/highlighter. I would've swatched it but the store was hectic haha!

    1. Ahhh yes, Priceline is always a mad house at the 40% off sale!!! I went to a local one, rather than the city store and it was still hectic there. All the aisles were empty except for the make up one!! ;)
