My 5 Minute Make Up Routine

Adore Beauty Haul

It's been a year and a half since I last did a What's in my 5 Minute Make Up Bag post and I've really changed up my routine since I posted that. My oldest daughter started school last year and getting myself and 2 children ready before the bell goes has made a huge impact on my make up routine and how quickly I can get ready.

Adore Beauty Haul TheBalm In The Balm Of Your Hand

I've teamed up with Adore Beauty for the post and I picked out some incredible products from their online store which helps me get ready in a pinch.

I really love all-in-one palettes that contain eye, cheek and lip products. I first fell in love with theBalm Voyage Vol 2 palette because I can reach for it and have half of my make up in my hand ready to be applied. Another amazing theBalm multi palette is the In The Balm Of Your Hands.* This is slightly different than theBalm Voyage palette because it contains their most well known and much loved products, or their "greatest hits."

It contains...

4 eyeshadows
1 highlighter
1 bronzer
3 blushes
1 cream lip/cheek product
1 lipstick

TheBalm In The Balm Of Your Hand

What's great about a lot of these products is that they're multi use. It contains their most well known product, Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter which I use to both highlight but also as an eyeshadow base to help brighten my eyes on those early morning school runs. The eyeshadows can also be used as eyeliner and the blushes and bronzer can be used as eyeshadow.

Having them all in the one palette means I'm not having to waste time finding separate products to apply. It also makes getting ready quicker as I'm not umming and ahhing over which shades to use or combine to create a smokey eye.

Garbo & Kelly Brow Pomade

When it comes to my brows, I need something that looks natural. I've always had thin, light blonde eyebrows so wearing thick "insta brows" looks so strange on me. I need something that gives fullness without being overpowering. I don't strictly use one type of brow product as I enjoy trying different formulas. I love tints and powders and have recently fallen in love with pomades.

I've been testing out the Garbo & Kelly Pomade in Cool Blonde.* Because I ordered online I was afraid that the colour wouldn't be right but thankfully it's the perfect colour!

It's an incredibly smooth and creamy formula which is perfect for someone who's just getting into pomades. I normally use an angled brow or eyeliner brush to apply this and then use a brow brush (like the number 18 brush from Rae Morris) to brush through to make sure that the pomade is even and natural looking.

Garbo & Kelly have some incredible products. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I already have the highlighting palette and eyeshadow palette but there's a few more products from them that I want to pick up.

Shanghai Suzy Miss Sally Lipstick

I'm the kind of girl who thinks that nude lipstick is a waste of time. If I'm going to go to the effort of wearing a lipstick, then it needs to be bold and colourful! I can't get enough of oranges and reds. They always make my skin look brighter and make it look like I've put in a lot more effort than I have!

The Shanghai Suzy "Miss Sally" lipstick* is such a gorgeous shade. The colour is wearable and doesn't need a lot of upkeep like a liquid lipstick does. They also have a blood red ("Miss Hannah") and a black plum ("Miss Kitty") that are on my wishlist. They've also just released their winter collection and it looks stunning.

Glo Minerals Water Resistant Mascara

And finally you can't forget a mascara. Because I wear glasses, I need something that will give my lashes volume and impact so my eyes don't get "lost" behind the glasses. But I don't want lashes that are too long otherwise they'll hit against my lenses.

The Glo Minerals Water Resistant Mascara* has a lovely consistency that doesn't make your lashes clumpy. The mascara wand is easy to use and gives your lashes thickness and length without making them look creepy or unnatural.

You can buy these at Adore Beauty. Adore Beauty offer free shipping and include a Tim Tam with your order!! They also have great GWP deals that they update weekly.

What products do you reach for when you only have 5 minutes to get ready?

  6. My 5 minute makeup routine consists of just concealer, brows & mascara. In fact, my brows normally takes me 5 minutes alone haha. I need to improve on how fast I can do my makeup!

  7. That mascara sounds wonderful! I too wear glasses and have the dilemma of wanting to wear mascara so my eyes don't disappear but not wanting long lashes that hit my glasses!
